How to Set Intentions That Work
This post is for education and entertainment only.
Would you like to set intentions that manifest with ease and arrive better than you imagined? Learn how self-awareness, mindfulness, and changing your surroundings can fast-track your desired outcome?
You Are What You Do
Everything we do, say, think, and feel is a habit maintained by our mind. Remix reality by vetting values, examining your environment, and building a support system. Here are three steps for clear intentions and alignment.
Step 1 – Practice Self-Awareness
Why do you want your intention, and what will you be like when you have it? Having a lot of money creates the feeling of freedom, security, and stability. What can you do now to feel like you’re someone who has your desire?
Mindful Living
What you focus on is reinforced by your thoughts, feelings, and awareness. Notice everything with curiosity and not judgment like a story unfolding. Accept only the thoughts that support your state, send the others away.
Vetting Values
Align your actions with your core values to reinforce intrinsic motivation. Incorporate your passions, interests, and what makes you feel a sense of purpose to establish your why. What values are related to your goal?
Step 2 – Analyze Your Environment
To anchor in a new state, you need to be consistent, so consider what resources will help you stay committed. Change living or working spaces to reinforce thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that match your outcome.
Make It Easy
Use vision boards, affirmation cards, and reminders like artwork to stay focused. Your unconscious mind can’t tell the difference between imagination and reality. Use that to release feelings of desperation.
Step 3 – Develop a Support System
A manifestation support system is a plan for keeping your vibration high while your intentions are manifesting. Your daily actions and social circle have a massive influence on your mental, emotional and spiritual state.
New Habits
Getting what you want might take awhile, especially if you have a lot of attachment and resistance. Establish routines based on who you’ll be when you have it and focus on enjoying and appreciating the moment you’re in.
Community
Make friends with people aligned with the state of your manifestation. Connect with people who can offer inspiration and mutual support. Realize you may have to let go of some connections to move forward.
Setting Intentions Behind the Scenes
What happens when you set an intention, and how do you know it’s working? An intention is the decision to expand your reality. You want to experience something in the physical that you’ve desired in your mind.
Let’s consider what’s happening when you’re not mentally manifesting. Most of the time you’re running the current program, your everyday habits, beliefs, identities, emotions, environment, and social situations.
The Dominant Program
If you didn’t consciously choose your current reality, you’ll align with the dominant state in your field. The matrix is designed to keep you engaged, so whatever stories you’re picking up is what you’ll integrate.
When you choose a different program, you become the dominant state by self-regulating so strongly that you can’t be influenced. The manifestation methods regulate and align your system for a new state of being.
Self-Regulation for State Coherence
Being the dominant energy doesn’t mean controlling or manipulating others. It’s being so solid in sovereignty that anyone who isn’t self-lead will likely follow. It’s layered, so you are both the influencer and influenced.
You need to be in the observer state for setting intentions, but you don’t want to be there all the time. Do reality checks throughout the day but remember to enjoy the process with gratitude and curiosity.
Holding Multiple States
Acceptance and compassion are the keys to self-regulation. There’s no story without conflict, contrast, and context. The story will always tell itself better than you can and it’s way more fun to be surprised.
Release resistance by allowing multiple states to exist at once, especially in beliefs, thoughts, and identity. Resistance is the dissonance of feeling like you have to choose between conflicting fields, but that’s an illusion.
Example: I love my job. I hate my job. Both are true at different times.
I am someone who loves their job. I am someone who hates their job.
I am everything. Now I’m choosing to receive a job I love.
What are Thought and Sense Streams?
After you set your intention and self-regulate with manifestation methods, you still need to recalibrate your system. What you do, think, say, and feel all the time has to be aligned with the state you want to occupy.
Before you can align anything you have to be aware of it. You can only change what you’re aware of, and the brain is very selective. It prioritizes what seems most important through focus and repetition.
The mind and body are a system of experiences. Bodies are ancient wisdom with identities of their own. Build body awareness by noticing how thoughts feel in your body and how emotions affect what you think.
Managing Your Mind-Body
Thought streams are the mind’s continuous flow of ideas. Use strings of affirmation to train your mental narrative to support your manifestation. Casually reject errors and only accept the kind of stories you ordered.
Sense streams are the physical sensations you experience all the time. Pay attention to how you sit, walk, and stand. Movements like smiling, dancing, hugging yourself, or floating in water strongly influence your state.
Conclusion
Make manifestation easier by setting intentions that align with your values and genuine desires. Establish an environment that helps you maintain a positive state. Practice self-compassion and gratitude for what you have.
